LOUISE MARRIES IN BERMUDA
Article: OK Magazine July 10th
Soccer ace Jamie Redknapp and pop beauty, Louise Nurding made their love match official in a romantic wedding. The venue was a flower-decked yacht off the sunshine island of Bermuda, and the perfect day went off without a hitch, with 60 family and friends aboard the 130ft Lady Tamara.
It was a big day with a difference as the yacht anchored in tranquil Paradise Lakes for the lunchtime ceremony.
The bride and groom stepped underneath a moongate- a traditional Bermudian arch decorated with delicate local flowers that is supposed to bring good luck- to take their vows. The couple had arrived in separate horse-drawn carriages from the exclusive Elbow Beach Hotel, where they have been staying since June 10.
Jamie, 25, in a dashing black suit with short sleeves arrived first with his dad, West Ham manager Harry, and two pageboys at 12:30pm. Stunning Louise, 23 arrived eight minutes later looking radient in a shimmering off-white knee-length dress with a floating sheer scarf. She looked nervous and kept her head down as she boarded the luxurious yacht.
Seconds after Louise's arrival the boat took off- with a crowd of locals waving good luck from the tiny Darrell's wharf.
The luxurious boat last month played host to ex-Prime Minister Margeret Thatcher and media tycoon Rupert Murdoch. Yacht owner Nigel Prescott was on hand to welcome the couple, along with Jamie's best man and Liverpool team-mate Phill Babb.
Rumours swept the island that Louise's pals the Spice Girls would attend. The now fab four were a two hour flight away in New York preparing for a big concert at Madison Square Garden, but they were unable to get away and sent good luck messages instead.
Jamie proposed to ex-Eternal singer Louise on the island last summer and they were determined to marry there too. When he was ruled out the World Cup with a knee injury they decided now was the perfect time to tie the knot. They started their new life together by smooching to Bob Marley's One Love.
As the cruise ended, guests were met by a fleet of taxis and whisked off to an evening reception at the Marriott Castle Harbouur hotel. But Louise cut short her idyllic honeymoon, to return to London for an appearence at the Party in the Park concert in Hyde Park on Sunday 5 July.
